Celebrate the Lavender Project's

5th Anniversary

The Lavender Project, a self-photography project, was created to question the taboo of female body hair and femininity. I created this project in the summer of 2019 because keeping my chest hair as a secret for so long became burdening. The self-hate had become overwhelming and detrimental to my mental health. I created a dress that showed my chest hair for the first time, took pictures of myself at my favorite parc and posted them on Instagram. This very moment changed my life!  Challenging the notion that a woman can't be feminine and hairy inspired me to become a Body Hair Activist. Since then, I have become free of societal beauty standards. The Lavender Project has inspired women all over the world to question beauty standards and embrace their body hair. This Limited Edition Tote Bag is a celebration of that freedom, how much self-love is important & empowering. Thank YOU for supporting my work and this Tote is another Gift to you!

The Limited Edition Tote Bag

The tote bag is double-sided with a pocket inside to put your most valuable possessions such as your phone, wallet and lipgloss. It's also 100% cotton. The "Women Have Body Hair" tote has illustrations made by me. The french phrase "Vive les Poils" is a celebration of female body hair! As an artist, I also wanted you to have something beautiful and that I created myself! The art is printed in Montreal and pressed on each individual tote bag with love & care by yours truly.
